three months laterrrrr

finished:
one flew over geo quilt
back of geo quilt
bernie quilt

I have been adding progress reports to 'Our Creative Spaces' and although this was finished a week ago, felt I should show it to you - thanks for demanding it, you are way more interested than the real world....

Oh the details: Started with this barkcloth... Settled on this pattern from Kate, then added some stuff according to this little colour whip-up... An old tablecloth was sacrificed, and all ended up being bound in Heather Ross guitars, as that arrived at the right time?! All in all, a very imperfect but much cherished little first quilt from me!

Oh Yay! It looks fantastic and superb! You must be very proud of yourself for such a lovely new quilt. Some of those grey pieces are making me think of tetris. Well done :)

Gorgeous! I love that you've done some on the back too. Nothing like double sided for when you get sick of one side!

Is this your own pattern? I think it's fab and the pieced back looks wonderful too. Thanks for sharing.

GORGEOUS!! I love this sooo much...love the warm yellow with the rectangles and the mixture of vintagey looking fabrics...are they doilies or is it a print? Great work... :o) xoKate

Wow - great job! I love the charcoal/mustard combo and I kinda like the back better than the front - I guess it could work both ways.

This quilt is beautiful and it looks very large and cozy.
You asked me a question on my blog and you are a no-reply commenter, so I am answering your question here.
The "K" fabric that I used on my walet that you commented on is from Kumiko Fujita Collection printed by Yuwa. I ordered it from superbuzzy.com

hey you just won the bird brooch give away-it was randomly drawn! I am kind of laughing and kind of spun out by the birdishness of your blog! xo Can't find your email here so please write to mine;

Looks fabulous! The reason I can finish a hottie cover and not start a quilt like yours is all about the size! Hottie cover - tiny, quilt - huge! Did you quilt it yourself? Very clever.
