This week has been about finding a home for my pins..
and fastly, fastly, quickly, quickly getting through the numbers on the advent calendar before I have a baby... So far I am up to 11. This is like an olympic event once Rex goes to sleep at night!
Bit wonk on both sides, but not sooo bad i can't show you! Other advent calendars to covet and inspire here... Anyone know of an index of crafty decorations to make? Ours are in boxes. Somewhere.
These are headed to something special... tbc
Thanks for your lovely comments on the mystery bikini babe featured in prev post - thankfully she is wearing clothes this week as Perth is back to mid 20's from 39 degrees!
Visit Kirsty (who taught me to sortastemstitch, thanks) for this week's lovely stuff all around the vorld. How good is the horsey neigh stool?!

Can't wait to see how you use the dog and red riding hood fabrics - they are gorgeous.
Good luck with the advent numbers.

a wee fried egg is a great spot for pins.. and I am especially jealous of your enamelware or perhaps more jealous of what's inside the cake tin..
That egg is so cute. Don't you love the last minute rush before babies arrive! But summer babies are the best - if you have to get up in the middle of the night - best to do it when it is warm! Hope you get your calendar done.
Thats a seriously funny egg expression!! I don't think I will ever use that sentence again either so you have made me smile broadly twice in about 5 seconds!
Love the sewing and remember-summer arrving bubbas in cute singlets and nappies won't require as much clothes laundering as winter arrivals!best wishes, xoKate
Good luck for bubby! I just finished the advent calender for my son. All of the family got to help hang it. I love doing those type of things. They are good memories. Are you going to show and tell what you are going to do with the cute dog and little red riding hood fabric.
Eeeek! I forgot all about the advent calendar. Best get my act into gear! Yours is looking lovely. Best of luck with your bubba :)
I look forward to seeing your advent calendar when you've finished, I'm liking the stitching you've done so far.:)
I love the egg too. And you've taken on a big task making your advent calendar! It's looking great and it will be so worth it in the end. One way to make a baby come, starting something like this... Yes, a Summer baby is fabulous. Everyone is in a good mood, it's a happy time. I'm adoring that fabric. Can't wait to see what you make with it. How divine is it. Pruxxx
Nice work on the numbers.I love handmade advent calendars. My younger sister married a German guy this year and their tradition is the husband makes an advent calendar for his wife. Last year's advent was spectacular, hope he can produce the goods this year. Good luck with the bub. Hope it's out before the really hot stinky weather sets in.
the egg is hilarious, "oh no!" hehe
great fabrics too!
the egg is a gorgeous home for your pins! have fun getting things done :)
