This creative envelope: what the h is coming over me!

Not sure if it is hormonal or otherwise but I have a new (old) purchase and what's more, I HAVE USED IT!

Photobucket

It is about my age, and came with nice round knobs and a 'QC check' that was lovely in itself.

My very first (ambitious) project is a prototype for a gift... Started here:

slowly got to here:

whipped into this with the IRON! (another thing i simply don't do):

and then a late night lasters, got me here:

Not so perfect, but not so bad... Don't look inside at the seams (is that what they are called?).

Rex has taken to the camera again. Asked Oaky to smile for a photo, she didn't, so she copped a 'gentle' reminder... 'SMILE PLEASE!'. Is that fear in her eyes?

For creativity that doesn't involve manipulating brown dogs, or very untidy but speedy needlework, try here. Nice to have something to post that is somewhat 'on message'.

That patchwork is awesome and your lines amazing....I'm still too scared to attempt patchwork...one day when I am brave I'll give it a go. Love your cushion.

Considering I just read this post as well as your profile for the first time (no, they don't go hand in hand!!) well, I should say what a great job on the gift. A wonderful thing indeed. Has the bug bitten you yet? Maybe a matter of time...:)

ROBYN!! Bloody Nora!! So VERY good to hear from you and to discover this place. I'm looking forward to having a fossick through your archives. And look at that beautiful little person, (I'm quite taken with the staffy too. Would give Kipper a run for his money).

I can't wait to tell Joanie about your rug! Much love and crossing of fingers on account of imminent up close and personals in the labour ward! xxx

Great fabrics, and it turned out really cute. I never used to use the iron until I started sewing, as well! :)

The cushion is lovely. It reminds me quite a bit of a quilt I have from my childhood. Very pretty.

That's such a great cushion. Love the fabrics and colours. And best of all it's made with LOVE! Your sewing machine is super cool too. Love that it's got such character! Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog too. I have been to Pretty Beach but just passed through. It's so beautiful isn't it. You've inspired me to go there again and to walk along that beach flotsaming!! Pruxxx

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The cushion you made looks great. I would have loved a cushion like this. Never had the time to make the 100+ things I wanted to make. ;) I loved the pictures in your blog too. They are very nice.
